Sony Hits With Two True Wireless Earphones in India Starting At Rs.9,990

Sony’s first step into the market of wireless earphones in India with WF-XB700 and WF-SP800N models.

Sony already has a good presence in the Indian television market whereas Sony doesn’t need any introduction to the Indian audio market also. However, on 24 June with the launch of WF-XB700 and WF-SP800N the company has moved one step forward by stepping into the market of wireless earphones in India. 

The affordable WF-XB700 is priced Rs.9,990 and its more powerful version WF-SP800N marked as Rs.18,990. The availability of Sony’s WF-XB700 is from 24 June in India across Sony retail stores and on Sony’s e-tail portal, major electronic stores, and other e-commerce websites in India. But WFSP800N will be on sale on June 26. And will be available in black and blue color options for the XB700, and black, blue, and white for the SP800N. 

Sony’s Pricing Strategy for Wireless Earphones in India

Sony has taken a very serious approach regarding the pricing plans of the wireless earphones in India. The company knows to step into the wireless earbuds market is not so easy, that’s why Sony has put WF-SP800N against Samsung Galaxy Buds+ and Jabra Elite 75t. Maintaining global pricing the WF-SP800N stands with a price tag of Rs.18,990 and is at an immediate advantage due to the addition of active noise cancellation features.

And for the Indian market, Sony has priced WF-XB700 at Rs.9,990, as Sony looking to make the most of from growing demands of mid-range true wireless earphones. The ‘Extra Bass’ tag will also attract the Indian listeners who are interested in using headphones that deliver deeper and richer sound quality.

Sony WF-SP800N is an excellent audio product which mainly focuses on sports personals as it is packed with IP55-certified dust and water resistance and also enabled with active noise cancellation feature. There are not many options available with active noise cancellation wireless earphones in India. The pricing of these earphones in India will make them attractive options for those who are looking for wireless earphones with premium features.

And have an IPX4 water resistance rating, a frequency range of 50Hz to 8,000Hz, up to 18 hours of total battery life, and support for the SBC and AAC Bluetooth codecs.

The tap gestures allow us to play, stop, or skip through tracks and adjust the volume. It is also possible to access the voice assistants.
