Cosmic Byte CB-GK-03 Review And Specification
For starters, it has an unusual double-sided light bar. It’s positioned on the right side of the keyboard and is used for several functions. The light glows red when pressed and green when released.
Surprisingly, the light does change color based on your actions. This means that you can tell by looking at where your cursor is in the game. Very cool!
Two light pads are used to control the volume. One pad controls the left and right channels, while the other is used for the center channel.
These are useful for controlling what sound will be produced and the pitch modulation. Not very useful for very serious gamers but functional.
Apart from that, the rest of the keys feel good. They’re all very responsive and provide strong tactile and audible feedback. In terms of action, they work very well.
Pressing a key makes a sound, as I’ve experienced it myself. The only thing I would like to call out here is that sometimes, hitting the Caps lock key during gameplay can become very frustrating, as it moves the cursor significantly lower than what I’d want.

Build Quality
The build quality is outstanding. It has a plastic base with an aluminum plate on top. It feels hard and doesn’t present any flex. The keycaps are ABS and feel a bit common, but there’s very concise wobbling or rattling. The rubber pads aren’t the grippiest, although we didn’t experience any problems with the keyboard sliding around. However, despite the nice appearance of this keyboard, it does have some negative points as well. Let’s talk about it first.The most noticeable thing is the extremely loud sound produced by the cheap Cherry MX key switch.
The sound itself can be highly annoying especially when you are in a public location and someone close to you hits you with the loud sound. It may even be distracting to other people, which is unfortunate.
Another bad thing about the Cosmic Byte CB-GK-03 gaming keyboard is the lack of macro keys. Although it comes with macro keys, they are a bit too difficult to use and are not good enough for general use.
They require you to press the key before it appears. I guess they have to come up with a good design first.
What makes the Cosmic Byte CB-GK-03 gaming keyboard a good buy is its bright backlit keys. These are made using a Light Emitting Diode (LED) backlight instead of the regular mechanical switches.
This is a good thing because it means that the keys are illuminated, which means easier to see and type on.
Aside from that, the light emitted from the LED is also very bright, so you won’t have to worry if you are typing in dark places.
